In 1934, Canon's original name was spelled 'Kwanon' refering to Canon, the Buddhistic Goddess of Mercy. The following year, the company decided to highlight its modern, high-quality cameras by dropping the 'Kwanon' spelling for 'Canon', which in Latin means precision.

We moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta in April of 2008 and spent the next 8 months adjusting to life here and forming new partnerships in the community.
2009 promises to be a busy year. We are working hard on a new website and our travel schedule is already filling up.
